Larry Slabosz · Chairperson
Larry received his Corporate Finance degree from Wayne State University and also has a graduate degree in Finance. He is a Financial Planner in Troy, MI, and has been in business since 1988. He helps individuals, families, businesses and the affluent with life, disability, health and long term care insurances, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CD's, IRA's, 401-k plans, annuities, financial, college, retirement, business and estate planning. He is also affiliated with MetDesk which is Met Life's Division of Estate Planning for Special Needs Kids and Adults. He's been a consistent member of MDRT, Million Dollar Round Table, which is a professional organization that recognizes the top 3% of the producers in the insurance and financial planning profession, worldwide, based on production, ethics and integrity. He serves as Chairperson on his church's Finance and Administration Commission, is a Rotarian of the Sterling Heights Rotary and also has been with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1997 serving as past Flotilla Commander for two years in Port Huron, is the current Staff Officer of Public Affairs and very active in Operations which would include Homeland Security patrols, search and rescue and regatta patrols. He has done a great deal of volunteer work for the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, and Rainbow Connection. His hobbies include music, traveling, scuba, snorkeling, riding his motorcycle, jet skiing, down hill skiing, cycling, working out at the gym and spending quality time with
family and friends.

Erica Adams-Williams – Vice Chairperson
Erica received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University. After graduation, she served as the volunteer coordinator at the MSU Festival of Michigan Folklife in East Lansing, Michigan. Erica later worked as an administrative assistant at the Wayne County Circuit Court and currently works in administration for the judicial branch of the State of Michigan. Erica is currently on the planning committee of Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism, Southeastern Branch. Erica’s interest in this event was sparked by her need to help her autistic niece. Her other community service events include Michigan State University Alumni Association, Super Bowl XL volunteer, AAU Junior Olympics, MSU Downtown Coaches Club, and the Women of Wisdom Literacy Group.

Lisa Calvin – Treasurer
Lisa is a Senior Credit Specialist in the Middle Market Lending Department at Comerica Bank. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration. Lisa volunteers for many organizations in the community. She serves as the vendor and marketing coordinator for the Ribs’n Soul Festival in Hart Plaza, Detroit that benefits non profit organizations. Lisa serves as Director of the Women’s Committee at the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History. A lot of volunteer hours are spent working with her daughters’ parent teacher student association as well as the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Lisa also serves as the team leader for the annual Diversity Walk-A-Thon. In her free time, she likes to spend her quality time going to the movies, mentoring and talking with her 12 year old daughter, teenage nieces and nephews.

Joseph Houle · Secretary
Joseph is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is also a graduate of the University of Detroit School of Law. He has been a member in good standing of the Michigan Bar since 1993. His practice is devoted to the representation of individuals who are disabled and who are seeking Social
Security Disability benefits. Mr. Houle has presented to various groups both regionally and nationally on the Social Security Disability process. He is married and has 3 children. He is active in the Rochester Youth Soccer League.

Terry Brusoe · Trustee
Terry has lived in the Detroit Metro area his whole life. He’s earned 75 college credit hours concentrating on mathematics and science. During the last forty years, Terry has attended many continuing education conferences and seminars. He spent most of his working years in hospitals working as a Pulmonary Function Technician, but is now retired. In 1975, Terry was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He recently became interested in helping those with disabilities. Terry learned the value of education in dealing with any disability and the necessity of teaching those with disabilities how to live the best life they can. He currently volunteers for many different organizations such as CMH, St. Johns Hospital, and several churches.

Randy Charon · Trustee
Randy was introduced to DNOM in 1999, when he was in a hunting accident that paralyzed him from mid-chest down. During rehab, he became a member of Disability Network Oakland & Macomb. Randy attends empowerment meetings, became a facilitator, and joined the Board of Trustees. He
soon became a member of the Disability Network near my home. Randy attended their Empowerment meetings, became a facilitator, and joined their Board of Trustees. Prior to his accident, Randy was a heating/cooling technician for local 636 and has been married to his wonderful wife, Danielle, for 31 years. Randy wants to help advocate for all people with disabilities.

Mark Cronmiller · Trustee
Mark M. Cronmiller is an attorney who began his practice in 2005 and is currently working as a solo practitioner. Mr. Cronmiller joined the DNOM Board of Trustees in the fall of 2005 and in the fall of 2006 he became the Board Chairperson.
Previous to these experiences Mark lived in New York City for approximately 24 years, but is a native to Michigan and grew up in St. Clair Shores. During the 90s, Mark worked with several community organizations in NYC. There he was part of a spinal cord outreach program and helped design and implement meetings and education. Mark also volunteered with the Manhattan Center for Living, which worked with individuals in the community who had terminal illnesses. Another project Mark was involved with was the NY Nurses Association Hospice Program Community Outreach Design Team that worked to create a network of services that could be provided to hospice clients in their homes.
Mark is excited to be working with the Disability Network Oakland & Macomb organization at a time when there is great potential for future growth.

Jeff Kelly · Trustee
Jeff attended Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in early 2007. He has spent the last several years working as a Healthcare Consultant with Wellspring+Stockamp. His job focuses on helping health systems improve operationally by identifying and correcting inefficiencies in internal communication and processes, as well as financially by streamlining interactions with commercial and government payers. Jeff moved to Michigan in the fall of 2008 and became interested in volunteering with DNOM based on its similarities to work that members of his family have done. Jeff has a strong interest in helping his community and plans to leverage his experience in management and project planning to help DNOM grow and improve. When he’s not working Jeff enjoys being outdoors, reading classics and modern fiction, and spending time with friends.

Tammy Leach · Trustee
Tammy has been living in Shelby Twp. for the last three years. She is an animal lover and currently has two dogs and a rabbit. She considers herself caring, compassionate, friendly, and a good listener. She loves meeting new people and learning new things. Tammy’s ultimate goal in life is to become a Social Worker specializing in working with children. In the mean time, Tammy wants to increase her volunteer opportunities and explore new experiences. She feels she can bring new ideas to the board from a consumer-perspective. Tammy has been living with a mental illness for the past 20 years, and has the time and dedication to devote to the Board and it’s many projects.

Colleen Manning · Trustee
Colleen became involved with the OMCIL since 1997 as a consumer. Colleen became a full time volunteer in 1998 and was honored with the volunteer of the year award in 2000. Because she utilizes public transportation she is aware of the problems surrounding the use of public transportation. She works as an activist for available, affordable public transportation for people with disabilities. She also attends multiple ADA trainings and became a Certified ADA Specialist during her time as a volunteer.
Colleen has served on the Board of Trustees since 2001 in various positions including Secretary, Vice- Chair, and Chairperson and now serves as a Trustee.
Colleen, a Registered Nurse and Case Manager, has worked at Mt. Clemens General Hospital for 3 years and Detroit Receiving Hospital in the Medical ICU for 8 years and was promoted to Patient Care Coordinator for 2 years before her disability occurred.
She considers herself one of the luckiest people on earth as she found the true love of her life and guardian angel, Mike. Colleen and Mike built and live in a beautiful wheelchair accessible home in Chesterfield Township, MI and enjoy life to the fullest.
